Trojans fall to No. 7 Bears, 96-80
BOONE - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 96-80 decision to No. 15 DMACC Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest.
DMACC (14-2 overall, 5-1 in ICCAC) was led by Dylan Omweno, who came off the bench to score 21 points. Da'Shon Fisher was next in line for the Bears with 20 points.
NIACC was led by Zion Wright, who came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points. Wright also had six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Also for the Trojans, Keon Alexander scored 16 points with eight rebounds. Omarion Roberts scored 15 points, Brayden Drea scored 12 points, including four 3-point goals, and Adam Hackett scored 11 points.
Drea has 29 3-point goals this season and 83 for his career, which ranks 23rd on the school's career 3-point list.
Hackett collected eight rebounds with three assists. Roberts had five rebounds, four assists and one steal.
NIACC (11-4, 4-2) returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC contest against Iowa Central in Fort Dodge. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
