MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 3 Northeast CC Wednesday afternoon in an ICCAC contest on the NIACC campus.
The Hawks (14-1-1 overall, 5-0 in the ICCAC) opened up a 3-1 lead at the half and held on for the 2-goal victory.
Northeast CC scored its first goal of the contest on an own goal by the Trojans and the Hawks scored their second goal on a corner kick.
NIACC scored its goal at the 22-minute mark in the first half on a goal by Elia Salvatore Antonini.
NIACC (9-3, 2-2) returns to action Saturday in an ICCAC match at Marshalltown CC. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
