FORT DODGE - The NIACC men's soccer team topped South Suburban College 2-1 Friday night in a non-conference contest.
NIACC, which blanked Iowa Central 4-0 at home on Thursday, received goals from Elia Salvatore Antonini with an assist from Pablo Salas in the 28th minute in the first half. Javier Calderon scored the Trojans' second goal in the 37th minute on an assist from Randolph Quiroz.
NIACC, which led 2-0 at the half, allowed its first goal of the season in the 68th minute. Edoardo Allesadrini improved to 2-0 in goal for the Trojans collecting four saves against South Suburban.
NIACC improved to 2-0 for the first time since the 2019 season when the Trojans started 3-0.
NIACC returns to action Monday at home against Lake Superior College. The match is slated to start at 3 p.m.
