The NIACC men's soccer team improved its record to 4-0 with a 6-0 shutout victory over Lake Superior College Thursday afternoon on the NIACC campus.
The 4-0 start by the Trojans is their best start since they started 4-0 in 2015. The best start in school history by the NIACC men's soccer team is a 9-0 start in 2008.
In Thursday's six-goal victory, the Trojans led 4-0 at the half and they picked up two more goals in the second 45 minutes.
NIACC's Victor Hugo Januario scored two goals in the first half. The Trojans also received first-half goals from Joao Gabriel and Jose Galanton.
In the second half, Will Jansen and Maximiliian Torres-Sarabia scored goals for the Trojans.
The Trojans received assists from six different players in Thursday's match. Recording assists for NIACC were Harry Twinn, Gabriel, Elia Salvatore Antonini, Ethan Sutherland, Rian Jorgensen and Javier Calderon.
NIACC returns to action Saturday at John Wood CC in Quincy, Ill.
