MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team topped Hawkeye CC 1-0 in an ICCAC contest Wednesday afternoon on the NIACC campus.
Kobi Jones scored the Trojans' lone goal of the contest on a free kick from 40 yards out in the first minute of the second half.
Edoardo Alessandrini picked up the shutout in goal for the Trojans stopping four shots on goal.
NIACC (9-2 overall, 2-1 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 9 at home against Northeast CC. Match time on the NIACC campus is slated for 1 p.m.
