MASON CITY - Lewis Bowes scored a goal on a free kick with 25 minutes in Tuesday's ICCAC match against Northeast CC to lift NIACC to a 2-1 win.
Bowes goal gave the Trojans a 2-1 lead, a lead they would hold onto for the final 25 minutes to claim the conference victory.
NIACC took a 1-0 lead at the 34:00 mark of the first half on a goal by Axel Deligdisch on an assist from Giovani Lima Soares.
Northeast CC tied the match on a penalty kick with 12:30 left in the first half.
The match remained tied until Bowes broke the tie with his free kick goal.
NIACC returns to action at home Thursday against Scott CC.
