MASON CITY - For the first time since the 2019 season, the NIACC men's soccer team recorded a tie.
NIACC and DCTC played to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday on the NIACC campus. The match was called due to darkness with 7 minutes, 41 seconds remaining in the contest.
It was the first tie for the NIACC men since the Trojans and Hawkeye CC played to a 2-2 tie on Oct. 12, 2019.
NIACC took a 1-0 lead at the 30:34 mark of the first half on a goal by Gian Lucca Skatolin.
DCTC tied the contest with a goal at the 43:46 mark of the second half.
NIACC (2-8-1 overall, 1-3-1 in the ICCAC) returns to action Saturday at Scott CC.
