WEST BURLINGTON - The NIACC baseball team dropped an ICCAC twinbill to No. 5 Southeastern CC on Saturday.
Southeastern CC (18-6 overall, 3-0 in ICCAC) won the opener 5-1 and won the second game 10-9.
In the first game, Southeastern scored a single run in the third inning and plated four runs in the fifth frame.
NIACC (7-16, 0-4) scored its lone run in the fifth inning on an RBI single from leadoff hitter Cody Haynes.
In the second game, NIACC took a 9-7 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning, but the Blackhawks scored three runs in their final at-bat to walkoff the Trojans.
NIACC collected 11 hits to score its nine runs, including three from Haynes and two each from Payton Fort and Jacob Neutz.The Trojans received a home run from George McIntyre.
Fort, McIntyre and Jack McDonough all drove in two runs.
The two teams wrap up their 3-game series with a single game on Sunday. After Sunday's game, the Trojans are slated to open their home season Wednesday with a doubleheader against Southwestern CC starting at 1 p.m.
