
NIACC men fall to Warriors on mat, 29-15
CENTERVILLE – The NIACC men's wrestling team dropped a 29-15 decision to No. 10 Indian Hills Wednesday night in an ICCAC dual meet.
NIACC picked up wins on the mat from Cordell White (149), Tanner Warden (157) and sixth-ranked (The Open Mat rankings) Jessey Colas (184). NIACC's third-ranked Isaac Church (141) won by forfeit.
At 149 pounds, White (7-1) gained a 10-5 victory over the Warriors' Yaveion Freeman.
At 157 pounds, Warden (6-2) topped Indian Hills' Ayden Kingery, 7-5.
At 184 pounds, Colas (11-2) stopped the Warriors' Rondald Butler, 6-3.
NIACC (3-3 in overall in duals, 2-3 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday in a home dual meet against Iowa Central. Match time in the NIACC recreation center is set for 7 p.m.
Iowa Central topped NIACC 41-7 in a dual meet in Fort Dodge on Nov. 8.
