Trojans top Lakers, 42-12
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's wrestling team improved its dual meet record to 3-2 with a 42-12 ICCAC victory over Iowa Lakes Wednesday night in the NIACC recreation center.
NIACC picked up falls from Cordell White (149), Tanner Warden (157), Marco Guzman (174) and LB Neloms (285).
White pinned the Lakers' Eddy Ndayikengurukiye in 6 minutes, 10 seconds at 149 pounds. White improved his record to 6-1 with five falls.
At 157 pounds, Warden tuck Fischer Hawkins in 5:12. Warden is now 5-2 with three falls.
At 174 pounds, Guzman pinned Gio Hernandez in 4:10. Guzman is 3-7 with three falls.
At 285 pounds, Neloms pinned Tyreik Davison in 2:05 in his first collegiate match.
NIACC returns to action Jan. 26 in an ICCAC dual meet at Indian Hills. Match time in Centerville is slated for 7 p.m.
