
Trojans place 23rd at national meet
MECHANICSVILLE, Va. - The NIACC men's cross country team placed 23rd at Saturday's NJCAA Division II national meet with 663 points.
Lansing CC was the national champion with 66 team points, DMACC was second with 102 points and Wallace State was third with 120 points.
NIACC, which entered the meet ranked 17th, was led by sophomore Ryan Kelly, who was 65th in a time of 27 minutes, 16 seconds on the 8-kilometer course.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Isaac Thompson was 71st in a time of 27:26, sophomore Joey Ringo was 138th in 28:23, freshman Lukas Vance was 242nd in 30:21, freshman Connor Hammitt was 246th in 30:31, freshman Kevin Carney was 295th in 34:06 and freshman Alex Moore was 315th in 41:33.
