Hansen, Canton win Robert's Run

MASON CITY - Henry Hansen was the overall 5-kilometer winner at Robert's Run on Saturday on the NIACC campus.

Hansen covered the 5K course in a time of 17 minutes, 48 seconds. Ezra Almelien placed second overall in a time of 18:12 and Noah O'Connell was third in 19:41.

In the 10K race, Nate Canton was the overall winner in a time of 38:58. Gavin Ryner placed second in a time of 42:13 and Kade Tabbert was third in 44:07.

The women's overall 5K winner was Audra Mulholland in a time of 19:45. Lydia Mass was second (19:56) and Janae Hansen was third (22:14).

The women's overall 10K winner was Sarah Lunning in a time of 51:44. Amanda Kloser was second (53:05) and Krystal Garl was third (1:01).

The annual event celebrates the life of Robert Davis, a long time NIACC instructor and board member who died in 2013. Davis was responsible for creating NIACC Singers, North Iowa Choral Society and Quodlibet. He also managed the NIACC Auditorium for many years. Robert was an avid runner and was always proud of his daily four miles.
