Thompson, Kelly lead Trojans at national half marathon

RICHMOND, Va. - Isaac Thompson and Ryan Kelly led the NIACC men Tuesday at the NJCAA Division I national half marathon.

Thompson, a freshman from Charles City, placed 92nd in a time of one hour, 18 minutes, 3 seconds while Kelly, a sophomore from Mason City, was 93rd in the same time of 1:18.03.

Also for the Trojans, Lukas Vance was 154th in 1:28.15 and Kevin Carney was 163rd in 1:31.19.

Iowa Western was the half marathon national champion with 11 points. Salt Lake CC was second with 15 points and Odessa College was third with 36 points.

NIACC was 22nd with 274 points.
