
Trojans place 5th at Indian Hills Invite
OTTUMWA - The NIACC men's cross country team placed fifth at the Indian Hills Invitational on Friday with 133 points.
DMACC was the team champion with 35 points in the race at the Cedar Creek Golf Course. Indian Hills was second with 78 points and Iowa Central was third with 100 points.
NIACC was led by sophomore Ryan Kelly, who placed seventh in a time of 26 minutes, 27 seconds. Iowa Central's Mohamed Dahmouch was the individual champion in a time of 24:08.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Isaac Thompson was 18th (27:08), sophomore Joey Ringo was 31st (28:02), freshman Kevin Carney was 44th (29:16), freshman Lukas Vance was 50th (29:56) and freshman Connor Hammitt was 61st (31:58).
NIACC returns to action Oct. 25 at the NJCAA Region 11 Championships at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa.
