NIACC volleyball team falls to Ellsworth, 3-0
IOWA FALLS - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Ellsworth in an ICCAC match on Wednesday.
Ellsworth won 25-15, 26-24, 26-24.
"It's always tough to lose a conference match and (Wednesday) we just weren't playing as a team," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "We need to minimize our errors and be mentally tough right away."
Freshman Hannah Wagner led the Lady Trojans with nine kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Amanda Borden had nine kills, five digs, three blocks and two ace serves.
Also for NIACC, Brooke Greenwood had eight kills and two blocks, Shelby Heston had six kills with 13 digs and three blocks, Sammi Hyde collected nine digs, Sydney Roush had 31 assists and Becca Konz had eight kills.
NIACC (4-12 overall, 0-4 in the ICCAC) returns to action Monday at the Wartburg College Junior Varsity. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
