NIACC volleyball team falls to Marshalltown
MARSHALLTOWN - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-1 nonconference decision to Marshalltown CC on Friday night.
Marshalltown won 26-24, 22-25, 25-18, 25-14.
"Blocking and hitting errors were a major issue (Friday)," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "We have a couple of days off and then we get back to work next week."
Hannah Wagner led the Lady Trojans with 14 kills, eight digs and five blocks. Brooke Greenwood had seven kills and a season-high eight blocks.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Amanda Borden had eight digs with three kills and three blocks. Shelby Heston had 10 digs and five kills, Sydney Roush had 28 assists, Becca Konz had five kills and six blocks and Sammi Hyde had five digs and two ace serves.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC contest at Ellsworth.
