NIACC volleyball team falls to Southwestern
CRESTON - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Southwestern in ICCAC action Wednesday night.
Southwestern won 25-12, 25-19, 25-16.
"We didn't have a team like this past weekend," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "Unfortunately, we had individuals on a court trying too hard to make things happen. We learn and move on."
NIACC (1-4 overall, 0-1 in the ICCAC) was led by Hannah Wagner with six kills and Becca Konz with five kills and three blocks.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Connor Gauch had 11 digs, Sammi Hyde had eight digs, Sydney Roush had seven assists and three digs and Brooke Greenwood had three blocks.
NIACC returns to action next Wednesday at home against Kirkwood (5-1, 1-0). The Eagles stopped DMACC 3-2 (22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 19-17) in their league opener on Wednesday.
