
NIACC women ranked 12th in latest poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's cross country team is ranked 12th in the fourth USTFCCCA NJCAA Division II poll.
NIACC was ranked 15th in the Oct. 6 poll.
At the Indian Hills Invitational on Oct. 15, NIACC sophomore Sarah Bertry placed second in a time of 18 minutes, 58 seconds. Also for the Trojans, Lilly Stockberger was 15th in a personal best time of 21:28, Brianna Ross was 18th in a personal best time of 21:33 and Mercy Melly was 44th in a personal best time of 24:21.
Heartland CC is ranked No. 1 and Lansing CC is ranked No. 2. Hawkeye CC is ranked eighth, Southeastern is ranked 16th and DMACC is ranked 19th.
NIACC returns to action Oct. 29 at the NJCAA Region XI Division II championships in Waterloo.
