NIACC's Conley places 7th in 100 hurdles at Jim Duncan Invite
DES MOINES - NIACC sophomore Taja Conley earned two top 10 finishes Friday at the Jim Duncan Invitational.
Conley placed seventh in the 100 hurdles in a personal best time of 15.76 seconds, which ranks second on NIACC's all-time 100 hurdles list. Conley also was 10th in the 400 hurdles in a personal best time of 1:06.83, which ranks fourth on the school's all-time 400 hurdles list.
Also for the Trojans Friday, freshman Olivia Spurling was eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 13L06.79, which ranks second on the school's all-time steeplechase list.
NIACC sophomore Kit Byars placed 12th in both the discus and hammer throw.
Byars earned her 12th place finish in the discus with a toss of 28.76 meters (94 feet, 4 inches) and placed 12th in the hammer with a throw of 34.46 meters (113-1).
