NIACC's Conley places 4th in 60 hurdles
STORM LAKE - NIACC sophomore Taja Conley placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles Saturday at the NJCAA Region 11 indoor championships on the Buena Vista campus.
Conley earned her fourth-place finish in a time of 9.51 seconds, which ranks second on NIACC's all-time 60-meter hurdles list. Conley also plaed ninth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:06.29.
NIACC freshman Olivia Spurling was fifth in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 21:05.75. Sophomore Cloey Usher was eighth in the 5K in a time of 22:28.68
Also in the 400, the Trojans Adhel Deng was 11th in a time of 1:10.49.
NIACC's Cloey Usher, Emily Usher, Bridget Canton and Spurling placed fourth in the 4x800-meter relay in a time of 11:27.88.
The Trojans also placed fourth in the 4x400 in a time of 4:20.01 running Gift Gonpue, Suzy Guedeyi, Emily Usher and Conley.
Spurling was seventh in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:58.83. Cloey Usher was 10th in a time of 6:43.97.
Canton was eighth in the 800 in a time of 2:43.79.
The Trojans' Cloey Usher was 12th in the 1,000 in a time of 3:53.83.
The Trojans tied for fourth place at the regional meet with 42 points. Iowa Western was the women's regional team champion with 262 points.
