NIACC's Minto ranked No. 1 at 165
MASON CITY - NIACC's Christian Minto is ranked No. 1 at 165 pounds in Intermat's latest NJCAA poll.
NIACC, which is ranked fourth, has a total of six ranked wrestlers heading into Sunday's NJCAA Central District tournament in Estherville. Other ranked wrestlers for the Trojans are Brock Luthens (thrid at 133), Hunter Luke (eighth at 141), Tony Mendoza (second at 149), Holton Truax (ninth at 197) and Zack Santee (fifth at 295).
Minto, a freshman, is 17-0 iwth four falls, three technical falls and three major decisions.
Iowa Western is ranked fifth, Iowa Central is ranked sixth, Ellsworth is ranked eighth and Iowa Lakes is tied for 20th.
