MASON CITY - The No. 20 NIACC men's basketball team topped Northeast CC 100-86 Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest in the NIACC gym.
NIACC (13-5 overall, 4-3 in the ICCAC) led 41-40 at the half and outscored the Hawks 59-46 in the second 20 minutes. It was the fifth time this season and 55th time in the Mark Mohl era that the Trojans have scored at least 100 points in a game.
Cortaviaus Seales led NIACC with a career-high 26 points. It is the fourth time this season that Seales has scored at least 20 points.
Also scoring in double figures for the Trojans were Noah Rigatuso (15), Myles Tucker (13), Jacques Kelly (12), Jordan Jones (10) and Tysen Brennan (10).
Brennan matched his career-best with eight rebounds. Bradley Andrews and Kelly both collected seven rebounds.
Rigatuso also had six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal.
Northeast CC (4-14, 0-8) was led by Emaniel Alexandre with 23 points and Evan Decker with 20 points.
NIACC returns to action Monday at home against the Luther College Junior Varsity. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in the NIACC gym.
