NIACC's Tucker wins ICCAC weekly honor
MASON CITY – NIACC freshman Myles Tucker was selected as the co-ICCAC Division II men's basketball player of the week for the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5.
Tucker, a 6-3 guard from Ottawa, Ill., shared the honor with Iowa Western's Sean Black.
Tucker scored 28 points, including eight 3-point goals, in NIACC's 93-80 victory over Northeast CC in its ICCAC opener on Dec. 4. The eight 3-point goals tied a single-game school record.
Tucker was 8 of 10 from 3-point range, including a 6 of 6 performance from beyond the arc in the first half.
Against the Mount Mercy JV on Nov. 29, Tucker scored eight points with five rebounds and four steals.
Tucker is the first NIACC men's player to earn ICCAC player of the week honors since McKelary Robertson won the award for the week of March 1-7, 2021.
NIACC (8-2 overall, 1-0 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at No. 6 Iowa Western in an ICCAC contest. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
