
NIACC women ranked 14th in 3rd poll of season
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's cross country team is ranked 14th in the third USTFCCCA NJCAA Division I poll released Wednesday.
Iowa Central is ranked No. 1 in the women's poll and Southern Idaho is ranked second. Iowa Western is ranked 10th.
NIACC placed fourth at the Trent Smith Invitational last Friday on the NIACC campus. The Lady Trojans were led by sophomore Emma Davison, who placed sixth in a time of 19 minutes, 30 seconds on the five-kilometer course.
Other counting scores for the Lady Trojans were Whitney Martin (26th in 21:01), Cecelia Hemsworth (37th in 21:35), Miricle Corbo (42nd in 21:44) and Alana Wickering (45th in 21:50). Also, Ashley Kriener was 51st in 22:23.
NIACC returns to action Oct. 25 at the NJCAA Region XI meet in Ottumwa.
