No. 13th Lady Trojans place 25th at Chile Pepper Festival
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The No. 13 (NJCAA Division I) NIACC women's cross country team placed 25th in the II race at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday.
The Lady Trojans totaled 592 points as freshman Paula Jimenez led the way with a 30th place finish in 19 minutes, 08 seconds.
NIACC finished ahead of No. 11 Butler CC (27th, 652 points), No. 16 Pratt CC (31st, 703 points) and No. 22 Carl Albert State College (39th, 1,173 points).
Other counting scores for NIACC were Emma Davison (75th in 19:58), Whitney Martin (164th in 21:06), Cecelia Hemsworth (193rd in 21:35) and Alana Wickering (214th in 21:56). Also for NIACC, Miricle Corbo was 229th in 22:12 and Ashley Kriener was 262nd in 23:00.
NIACC returns to action Friday at home in the Trent Smith Invitational.
