NIACC women host Scott in tourney opener
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's soccer team will face Scott CC in the opening round of the NJCAA Region XI tournament at 2 p.m. Sunday on the NIACC campus.
NIACC (6-7-2 overall, 6-3-1 in the ICCAC) earned the third-seed for the seven-team regional tournament. Scott CC (1-17, 1-9) is the sixth-seed.
The winner of Sunday's contest faces either second-seed Hawkeye CC or seventh-seed Marshalltown CC in the regional semifinals on Oct. 26.
NIACC topped Scott CC 4-0 and 2-0 during the regular season.
