MASON CITY - The NIACC women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Hawkeye CC Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest on the NIACC campus.
Hawkeye CC (6-6-1 overall, 6-2-1 in the ICCAC) led 2-0 at the half and outscored the Trojans 2-1 in the second 45 minutes.
Liv Staberg scored NIACC's lone goal in the second half with an assist from Jette Busche.
Hawkeye CC now sits in second place in the ICCAC and NIACC is in third place. Northeast CC (15-2-1 overall) leads the league with an 8-1 mark.
NIACC (5-7-2, 5-3-1) wraps up its regular season Wednesday in an ICCAC contest at Southeastern. The match is slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
