MASON CITY - The NIACC women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season with a 4-0 victory over Scott CC Saturday on the NIACc campus.
NIACC, which led 3-0 at the half, moved its record to 1-5-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the ICCAC.
NIACC received goals from Maria Paz Gimenez Villamil, Alina Turtschan, Amalia Briseno and Jette Busche. Jaya Roor, Busche and Valerie Nelson recorded assists in the Trojans' win.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Southeastern CC in an ICCAC contest. The match is slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
