NIACC women's basketball completes recruiting class
MASON CITY - Ziyannah Conner of Independence, Wis. signed a national letter of intent on Friday in the NIACC gym to complete the recruiting class for the NIACC women's basketball team for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Conner is the 14th member of the second-year coach Brad Vaught's recruiting class.
Other members of the upcoming class are Kinsey Jilek (Johnston), Chelsey Holck (Clear Lake), Alyssa Hames (AGWSR), Amaya Doree (Champlin Park, Minn.), Takara Mason (St. Paul, Minn - Cretin-Derham Hall), Audrey Martinez-Stewart (St. Paul, Minn. - Cretin-Derham Hall), Audry Ensminger (Minnetonka, Minn. - Hopkins High School), Nora Francois (Minnetonka, Minn. - Minnetonka High School), Jackie Pippett (Ankeny Centennial), Raven Kinnetz (Clarion-Goldfield-Dows), Jasmine Jackson (Minneapolis), Ziyannah Conner (Independence, Wis.), I'sis Brown (St. Louis Park, Minn.), Brynn Hemann (Riceville).
Returning players for the NIACC women's basketball team, which was 4-16 in the 2021 season, are Kourtney Manning and Haley Hungerholt. Manning was a first-team NJCAA Region XI selection during her freshman season.
NIACC will compete in the 2021 ICCAC Summer Series June 18-20 at Johnston High School. The Lady Trojans will play two games each day of the three-day series.
