NIACC's Manning earns national POW honor
MASON CITY - Another day, another honor for NIACC's Courtney Manning.
On Wednesday, Manning, who is from Hibbing, Minn., was selected as the NJCAA Division II national women's basketball player of the week for the week of Feb. 8-14.
On Tuesday, Manning earned the ICCAC Division II women's basketball player of the week honor for the past week.
Manning scored a career-high 25 points with eight rebounds, six steals, three assists and one blocked shot in the Lady Trojans' 82-68 win over the Graceland University Junior Varsity on Feb. 10 in the NIACC gym.
Manning scored 16 points with four rebounds, two assists and three steals in NIACC's loss at DMACC on Feb. 13.
Manning averages 13.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game with 22 steals and 11 assists.
NIACC (1-6 overall, 0-6 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home against Iowa Central. Game time is slated for 5 p.m.
