NIACC set to host Thanksgiving Challenge
MASON CITY - The No. 9 NIACC women's bassketball team faces Rock Valley College at 5 p.m. Friday in the first NIACC Thanksgiving Challenge in the NIACC gym.
Iowa Western takes on Lake Region State College in the first game Friday at 3 p.m.
NIACC (6-0) is coming off 128-36 win over Riverland CC on Tuesday. The Lady Trojans have scored at least 121 points in three of their last four games.
In the NJCAA Division II rankings
NIACC averages 111.7 points per game, which ranks No. 1 in NJCAA Division II. The Lady Trojans rank 4th in NJCAA Division II with 76 3-point goals.
NIACC averages 24.0 assists per game (1st in NJCAA Division II) and 20.5 steals per game (2nd in NJCAA Division II).

Sophomore Taylor Laabs has 426 career points and ranks 47th on the school's all-time scoring list. Sophomore Kelsie Willert has 342 career points, which ranks 54th on school's career list.
Laabs has 74 career 3-point goals, which is tied for 16th on the career list. Willert has 68 career 3-point goals, which is tied for 19th on school's career list.
UU Longs has 100 career assists, which ranks 35th on the school's career assist list. Laabs has 82 career assists, which is tied for 42nd on school's career list.
