NIACC goes 4-0 at RCTC Yellowjacket Invite
ROCHESTER, Minn. - The NIACC volleyball team picked up another pair of wins at the RCTC Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday.
After going 2-0 on Friday, the Lady Trojans topped Williston State College 3-1 (26-24, 18-25, 25-23, 26-24) and Central Lakes College 3-0 (31-29, 25-20, 25-19).
"We didn't make things easy (Saturday)," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said, "but the team kept pushing through every obstacle and supported each other with amazing perserverance. We are so proud of their efforts and we will continue to put in the work on and off the court."
Hannah Wagner led the Lady Trojans with 19 kills, 28 digs and four blocks. Kennedy Meister contributed 16 kills, 35 digs and four blocks.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Sydney Roush had 40 assists, Ashley Groe had 29 assists and Connor Gauch had 44 digs.
NIACC (10-4 overall, 1-1 in ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home in an ICCAC match against Southeastern CC. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
Notes: Brandt is 2-1 all-time vs. Williston State College and 2-0 against Central Lakes College ... The last time a Brandt coached team faced Central Lakes College was in the 2011 season with the Lady Trojans winning 2-1.
