NIACC splits pair of matches at DCTC triangular
INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. - The NIACC volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday.
DCTC topped NIACC 18-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21. NIACC bounced back with a 25-22, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12 win over the Bethel University Junior Varsity.
"Unfortunately, we didn't start the day playing very well," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said, "and our team chemistry was struggling.
"They bounced back and figured it out for our second match."
NIACC improved its overall record to 20-14, which is the most wins in a season since the 2009 team was 22-12.
Hannah Wagner led the Lady Trojans in the two matches with 43 kills and 38 digs. Kennedy Meister had 29 kills and 31 digs.
NIACC returns to action Monday night at home against the Wartburg College Junior Varsity on Think Pink Night. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
