No. 2 NIACC women edge NDSCS in OT, 78-77

WAPHETON, N.D. - NIACC erased a four-point deficit late in an overtime period Friday night against North Dakota State College of Science and layup by UU Longs lifted the Lady Trojans to a 78-77 victory at the NDSCS Circle of Nations Classic.
"It was a physical game, which is something we hadn't had yet," NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said of Friday's game against the NJCAA Division I Wildcats. "We faced a lot of adversity and had different people step up."
Laker Ward and Khalilah Holloway paced the Lady Trojans (11-1) with 15 points apiece. Holloway added 15 rebounds.
It was Holloway's fourth career double-double.
Kelsie Willert and Taylor Laabs chipped in 13 points apiece.
Kyla Adams led NDSCS (11-2) with a game-high 23 points.
NIACC (11-1) is back in action Saturday against Dakota College-Bottineau. Game time is set for noon.
