No. 9 Lady Trojans roll past Milwaukee Area Tech, 134-45
IOWA FALLS - The No. 9 NIACC women's basketball team cruised to a 134-45 victory over Milwaukee Area Tech Friday afternoon at the Dale Howard Classic on the Ellsworth campus.
NIACC led 77-27 at the half.
The 134 points is the second most in a single-game in the history of NIACC women's basketball. The single-game record is 135 in a 135-33 win over Hibbing CC in the 2013-14 season.
Sophomore Taylor Laabs led the Lady Trojans with 22 points. UU Longs and Shayley Vesel both scored 16 points.
Also for the Lady Trojans (3-0), freshman Cici Kieger scored seven points with seven assists and seven rebounds.
It is the third straight season that the NIACC have women have started 3-0. In both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, the Lady Trojans started 4-0.
NIACC returns to action Saturday against Harper College. Game time is set for noon.
