NIACC women move up a spot to 12th in poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team moved up a spot to No. 12 in this week's NJCAA Division II poll, the final poll of the regular season.
NIACC (22-6 overall, 9-3 in the ICCAC) won a pair of games last week. The Lady Trojans topped Ellsworth 99-70 and rolled to a 110-78 win over DMACC.
NIACC, which plays at Iowa Lakes on Wednesday and hosts Southwestern on Saturday, was ranked in all 11 polls the regular season and was ninth in the preseason poll. The Lady Trojans were ranked as high as No. 2 in the three polls in December.
Kirkwood remained at No. 2 in this week's poll and Monroe CC (N.Y.) remained No. 1.
