Southeastern tops NIACC men, 71-65

WEST BURLINGTON — For the fourth time in five of its past games, NIACC squared off with an NJCAA Division 1 opponent. Wednesday the Trojans were unable again to get over that hump as they fell 71-65 to Southeastern Community College.
"We feel like we're right there but we just didn't do the little things tonight," NIACC coach Mark Mohl said.
Matt Baker knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points to lead NIACC (7-4), Tim Trousell scored 12 and Brad Rathjen added 11.
NIACC (7-4 overall) returns to action Saturday at the Augustana College junior varsity in Rock Island, Ill. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
