NIACC men off to best start since 2009-10 season
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team is 6-0 heading into Tuesday's game at Iowa Western.
The Trojans are off to their best start since the 2009-10 season when they started the season 9-0.
Game time Tuesday is set for 7 p.m.
NIACC also plays Northeast CC at 1 p.m. on Friday in the Great Western Shootout in Fort Dodge. The Trojans play NDSCS at noon on Saturday.
NIACC pushed its record to 6-0 with a 86-78 victory over Riverland CC last Tuesday in Austin, Minn.
Freshman Ben Moss led the Trojans with 21 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
The Trojans also received 18 points from Darnell Taylor-Breck and nine points and 16 rebounds from Tim Trousell.
The 16 rebounds by Trousell was the most in a game by a Trojan since James Wanjara grabbed 15 rebounds against the Association Free Lutheran Bible School on Dec. 11, 2015.
Notes: NIACC leads the all-time series against Iowa Western 19-7 ... Iowa Western topped NIACC 76-57 in the 2009-10 season ...
