NIACC men fall to NDSCS, 66-63

FORT DODGE — After a shaky first half in which it scored 18 points, NIACC rallied in the second half only to fall short of a win over NJCAA Division I opponent North Dakota State College of Science, 66-63, Saturday at the Great Western Shootout on the Iowa Central campus.
"Our kids showed a lot of character," NIACC coach Mark Mohl said. "We played two Division I teams this weekend and showed we could hang with both teams."
NIACC trailed 43-18 at half, rallied back and had a shot at the buzzer to tie the game.
Tim Trousell scored 18 points to lead the Trojans while Nick Wurm and Darnell Taylor-Breck finished with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
NIACC (6-3) hosts AFLBS Monday.
