NIACC's Spurling places 87th at national half marathon
RICHMOND, Va. - NIACC freshman Olivia Spurling placed 87th in the NJCAA Division I national half marathon Tuesday.
Spurling, who is from Earlham, covered the 13.1 mile course in a time of one hour, 47 minutes, 34 seconds.
Also for the Trojans, Cloey Usher was 97th in a time of 1:53.20 and Bridget Canton was 104th in a time of 1:57.52.
NIACC placed 20th in the team standings with 226 points.
Salt Lake CC was the team champion with 11 points. New Mexico JC was second with 26 points and El Paso CC was third with 36 points.
Salt Lake CC's Edith Neslen was the individual champion in a time of 1:23.23 and El Paso CC's Antonia Ronoh was second in a time of 1:21.11.
