
Spurling paces NIACC women at Indian Hills Invite
OTTUMWA - Freshman Olivia Spurling led the NIACC women's cross country team with a 13th place finish Friday at the Indian Hills Invitational.
Spurling covered the 5-kilometer course on the Cedar Creek Golf Course in a time of 20 minutes, 32 seconds.
NIACC placed eighth in the team standings with 175 points. Iowa Central was the team champion with 37 points and DMACC was second with 63 points.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Juliana Droll was 30th in a time of 22:11, freshman Bridget Canton was 33rd (22:35), sophomore Cloey Usher was 36th (22:55) and sophomore Emily Usher was 66th (30:16).
NIACC returns to action Oct. 25 at the NJCAA Region 11 Championships at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa.
