NIACC's Spurling places 31st at Dan Huston Invite
WAVERLY - NIACC freshman Olivia Spurling placed 31st in the women's 6-kilometer race Saturday at Wartburg College's Dan Huston Invitational on the Wartburg campus.
Spurling, who is from Earlham, earned her 31st place finish in a time of 25 minutes, 19 seconds in her first-ever 6K race. She was the second highest junior college finisher in the race behind Indian Hills' Jordyn Beck, who was 25th in 25:04.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Juliana Droll was 43rd in a personal best 6K time of 26:23 and sophomore Cloey Usher was 56th in personal best 6K time of 27:22.
NIACC returns to action Friday at the Indian Hills Invitational in Ottumwa.
