NIACC's Spurling places 9th at Trent Smith Invite
MASON CITY - NIACC freshman Olivia Spurling placed ninth at the Trent Smith Invitational on Friday on the NIACC campus.
Spurling covered the 5-kilometer course in a time of 21 minutes, 7 seconds. DMACC's Kayden Spencer was the individual champion in a time of 20:00.
DMACC won the team title for the second straight season with 19 points and Wartburg College was second with 36 points.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Juliana Droll was 20th in a time of 22:35. Cloey Usher was 23rd (22:55) and Emily Usher was 27th (30:28).
NIACC returns to action Oct. 5 at Wartburg College's Dan Hutson Invitational in Waverly.
