NIACC's Byars places 9th in discus at regionals
COUNCIL BLUFFS - NIACC's Kit Byars placed ninth in the discus Saturday at the NJCAA Region 11 championships.
Byars earned her ninth-place finish with a toss of 103 feet, eight inches (31.60 meters). Byars also placed 12th in the shot put with a toss of 29-2 3/4 (8.91 meters).
NIACC's Emily Usher, Juliana Droll, Skyila Shuryan and Chloe Usher placed third in the 4x800-meter relay in a time of 11 minutes, 23.46 seconds.
