
NIACC's Conley wins 400 hurdles
CEDAR RAPIDS - NIACC freshman Taja Conley won the 400-meter hurdles Saturday at the Mount Mercy DeBacker Invitational.
Conley won the event in a time of 1 minute, 9.88 seconds. The Trojans' Lilly Radcliffe placed second in 1:10.60.
Conley also was sixth in the 100 hurdles (16.49) and Radcliffe was seventh (18.13).
NIACC's Juliiana Droll won the 5,000 meters in a time of 20:05.29. Graceland's Mickenzie Fisher, the only other entrant in the race, was second in 20:57.89.
In the 400, NIACC's Gift Gonpue was 10th (1:11.32) and Emily Usher was 11th (1:14.69).
In the 800, the Trojans' Skylia Shuryan was 11th in a time of 2:44.57.
In the 4x100, the Trojans placed third in a time of 54.53 running Tenisha Herbert, Usher, Radcliffe and Conley.
NIACC placed sixth in the team standings with 44 points.
