NIACC women set to compete at nationals
LYNCHBURG, Va. - The NIACC women's track and field will compete in the NJCAA Division I national indoor championships Friday and Saturday on the Liberty University campus.
Qualifying for the national meet for the NIACC women are Rachel Trumm in the 400-meter dash and Emma Davison and Caitlyn Regan in the 1,000-meter run. The Lady Trojans also qualified in the distance medley relay and the 4x800-meter relay.
On Friday, NIACC will run the distance medley relay at 1:30 p.m. The Lady Trojans, who qualified with the eighth-fastest qualifying time in 13:08.60, will run Davison, Trumm, Cecelia Hemsworth and Regan.
Trumm will run in the 400 prelims at 5:25 p.m. on Friday. Trumm qualified 26th with a time of 1:01.45.
Davison and Regan will run the 1,000 prelims at 8 p.m. Davison has the 10th fastest qualifying time (3:04.42) and Regan qualified 16th (3:08.54).
The 1,000 finals are set for 3:35 p.m. on Saturday.
On Saturday, the Lady Trojans, who qualified seventh in 9:50.99, will compete in the 4x800 at 12:30 p.m. They will run Davison, Whitney Martin, Regan and Hemsworth.
