NIACC women ranked 20th in USTFCCCA poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's track and field team is ranked 20th in the USTFCCCA NJCAA Division I poll released Wednesday.
New Mexico Junior College is ranked No. 1, Iowa Central is ranked No. 2 and Barton (Kan.) is ranked third.
Iowa Western is ranked seventh, Hawkeye CC is ranked 18th and Southwestern is ranked 23rd.
Last Saturday at Minnesota State's Ted Nelson Classic, sophomore Emma Davison placed third in the 1,000-meter run in a school-record time of 3 minutes, 6.43 seconds. Caitlyn Regan was sixth in the 1,000 in 3:10.59.
Both Davison and Regan qualified for the NJCAA Division I national meet with their times in the 1,000.
NIACC returns to action Friday and Saturday at the South Dakota State University Indoor Classic.
