NIACC's Busche earns first-team all-region honors
MASON CITY - For the fifth straight season, the NIACC women's soccer team has a first-team all-region selection.
NIACC sophomore Jette Busche was selected to the NJCAA Region XI Division II first-team as a midfielder. Busche scored three goals with an assist in her sophomore season.
Since bringing back women's soccer in 2017, the Trojans have had a first-team all-region selection each season.
Earning first-team honors in the 2021 spring season were Celine Witt and Kailah Thompson. Other first-team picks were Zjhayda Heath (2019), Jessica Altman (2018) and Katherine Flaherty (2017).
Also this season, freshman forward Gabriella Rivera was a second-team selection and freshmen midfielders Brianna Marchand and Jaya Soor were honorable mention all-region selections.
Rivera scored two goals with one assist, Rivera scored two goals and Soor scored one goal.
