MASON CITY - NIACC and DCTC battled to a 1-1 tie in two overtimes on Tuesday in an ICCAC women's soccer match on the NIACC campus.
NIACC jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half when Jette Busche scored a goal off a corner kick from Brianna Marchand with 35:14 remaining in the first half.
DCTC tied the match with a goal with 25:50 remaining in the second half.
The two teams played two 10-minute overtimes with neither team scoring.
It was the first tie match for the NIACC women's soccer team since the Trojans tied Iowa Lakes (1-1) on Oct. 6, 2018.
NIACC (2-5-1 overall, 1-3-1 in ICCAC) returns to action Saturday in an ICCAC match at Scott CC.
