NIACC women wrap up play at BVU Fall Invite
STORM LAKE - The NIACC women's golf team wrapped up play Sunday at the Buena Vista University Fall Invitational.
NIACC shot rounds of 437-412 - 849 at the two-day tournament.
"(Sunday) was a significantly better day than Saturday," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said, "but we're still a ways off from where they want to be.
"After a difficult day (Saturday), they could have easily folded up their tents, but that isn't the makeup of this team. They have a lot of fight in them and I was glad to see that come out (Sunday)."
NIACC was led by sophomore Emma Weiner with a 94-100 194.
Also for the Trojans, freshman Cameran Moellers shot 101-101 - 202, Paige Danger shot 111-103 - 214 and Karissa Hoon shot 131-100 - 231.
"Karissa Hoon had a brutal day (Saturday)," Frenz said, "but I am so proud of how she handled that (Saturday) and bounced back (Sunday)."
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at the Simpson College Fall Invitational in Indianola.
